Preheat the oven to 180 C° (Thermostat 6-7).
Cut 4 thin slices of Comté, grate the rest.
Place the slices of Comté on 4 slices of bread.
Add the white ham then spread the cream cheese as desired.
Cover with the remaining slices of bread.
Melt the butter in a saucepan over very low heat, and brush the croque-monsieur. Cover the croque-monsieur with the grated Comté.
Place the croque-monsieur on an oven tray lined with baking paper.
Put in the oven for 6 minutes, turn on the grill at the end of cooking to brown the Comté.
While cooking, cut the fresh truffle in thin slices.
Remove the croque-monsieur from the oven and arrange the slices to cover the Comté.
Cut each of the croque-monsieur into 4.
